Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management and Swiss Hotel management School and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland signed a Memorandum of understanding at Haryana Bhawan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi. The function was graced by Shri M.D. Sinha, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism, Govt. of Haryana, Shri Amarjit Mann, IAS, Director General (Tourism), Government of Haryana and Mr.Tarek Kouatly, Director Marketing & Development, Asia Pacific, Swiss Education group.

The MoU was signed by Shri M.D. Sinha, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Haryana, Department of Tourism, Govt. of Haryana cum Chairman, Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management and Mr.Tarek Kouatly, Director Marketing & Development, Asia Pacific, Swiss Education group.

Swiss Hotel Management School and Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland seeks to create international opportunities for the students studying Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management. Such a tie up will lead to exchange of ideas and academic research between the two countries. By focusing on cultural and educational relationships between the two countries, the MoU will pave way for many aspirants in the hotel industry.

The Parties agreed to establish partnership relations between them to help bring international standards in the hotel management and culinary studies to the state of Haryana. Both the countries have unique culinary heritage and the collaboration will help open new vistas of research and studies in the hospitality industry as per mutually agreed timelines.

Programmes and studies will be organised to help support students of Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management with all round orientation programmes and other exchanges in the hospitality sector. The idea is to work towards a common goal through mutually agreed programmes designed around capacity building in the sector and hospitality community through a range of activities such as trainings, networks and showcase events.

Speaking on the occasion Shri M.D. Sinha Chairman, Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management stated that “this is another milestone in the history of Haryana State Institute of Hotel Management group and he hopes that the institute will compete with international standards with this signing of MoU”.
